Pastor Linda L. Smith

Pastor Linda L. Smith, a native of Gary, Indiana, has served as the interim pastor of Martin Chapel United Methodist Church in Knoxville, TN, since July 2023. With over 17 years of ministry experience at Overcoming Believers Church (OBC) in Knoxville, she led the Ministers in Training program and Media Ministry. Previously, she spent 21 years at St. Joseph House of Prayer, directing the Missions Outreach Department and teaching the New Christian class.

In 2010, Pastor Smith founded Breakthrough Faith Ministries International, and her teachings aired on WITA AM 1490 and AM 1580 until 2015. In 2020, she authored The Battle for Our Faith: Principles of Faith to Overcome and Always Win, available on Amazon and her ministry website. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in New Testament (Preaching Concentration) at Johnson University.

Having accepted Christ over 46 years ago, Pastor Smith is committed to preaching the Word of God to lead others from darkness to light (Acts 26:18). She has been married to Deacon Sanford P. Smith, Sr. for 37 years and has two adult children and a grandson.
